I was wondering about music conductors. They are kinda like a musical air traffic controller telling the tubas to play, loud or soft. and the trumpets to blare in. AndI was wondering if they ever get so good that it becomes second nature to them. Like if he thinks about what is for dinner while conducting. As the Bass hits all he can think is the meaty steak he is going to grill, and mashed potatoes with a cymbal crash, and the smoothe pinot noir he will drink as the flute takes the symphony on a quiet interlude. I bet there are people like this.
Welcome to my mind.

learning to conduct is actually really complicated, it takes a lot of skill and practice at coordination, and then there is the musicality. i took 2 semesters of conducting and can't imagine thinking of anything else than what i am doing in that moment, however there are geniuses who are brilliant conductors and gifted and can from time to time i'm sure think about what's for dinner =)depending of course on the piece of music and all that etc.
